Future Developments
We shall continue to conduct research, surveys, and publishing in the three major areas of our concern: media, sex culture, life and ethics issues in the society.
We shall continue to preach in Sunday service at churches and conduct seminars on topics including media education, sex education, anti-gambling education, and ethics of life education in churches, schools, and organisations.
We shall produce teaching kits, pamphlets, and leaflets on media, sex education and homosexuality, etc for use in primary and secondary schools and churches.
We shall continue to update online information and organise courses and workshops on issues affecting teenagers’ development to support teachers, parents, and pastors.
We shall promote sex education with emphasis on both the physiological and ethical sides, media education, and anti-gambling education in churches and schools. We shall conduct courses on social issues and assist in organising related training camps for churches.
We shall provide training for volunteers and students to enhance their critical thinking skills in media matters and encourage the public to monitor the mass media contents.
We shall focus on the enforcement of the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance and urge the Government and the Legislative Council to protect immature minors under the age of 18 from being victimised by undesirable materials.
We shall focus on the far-reaching impact of legislation against Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Discrimination on human rights, freedom of speech and conscience, freedom of education, and freedom of trade and business.
We shall focus on the persistent demands from LGBT+ groups that may change the family structure and the promotion of homosexuality in society, and shall propose different perspectives on these issues.
We shall continue to strengthen co-operation with different sectors of the society in jointly monitoring and guarding against pornography, violence, and other popular sub-cultures or incidents that affect teenagers’ development.
We shall urge the government and the Betting and Lotteries Commission to address the impact of gambling on teenagers and raise the legal gambling age from 18 to 21.
We shall focus on the needs of under-privileged sectors of society, families living in sub-divided units, families of divorcees and remarried couples.
