Christian values are often at odds with those of pop culture. We hope that by analysing contemporary pop culture, such as anime, video games, pop music, movies, etc, we can understand the ideologies and values behind each culture that subtly influence them. This subtlety makes it difficult to detect the unhealthy values conveyed by pop culture. While we acknowledge the fact that pop culture has its place in today’s Hong Kong and do not think that young people should be barred from accessing it, we shall point out any wrong or dangerous concept, and suggest critical points of view lest the public be misled unwittingly by unhealthy values.
